The Challenge

This Activity has been designed in order to be attractive to students and let them use knowledge and skills that they have acquired outside school, like social media, in order to present themselves and their project idea.

The students will have the chance to create fresh videos in order to present their project idea to the rest of the classroom and the teacher will be creative and activate their resources in a fun and relatable way. The outcome will amaze both teachers and students.

List of required equipment

Tablet/Smartphone/Camera/PC

Access to the internet

What can students learn from this?

This activity will promote the creativity of the students and bring out skills that they may not recognize that are useful for entrepreneurial activities. They will realize that being active and informed can help themselves in various cases including school projects and social life.

In addition to this, which are the main learning objectives of this activity students will learn how to work together and value each other ideas in order to end up with a very good product that might be totally different from what they have in mind at the beginning of the exercise!

How can I do this in class?

The teacher will present the tools to the students, even better if they can provide the materials needed by the school resources, and let the students know how to use those.

The outcome of this exercise is going to be a video with the presentation of the students idea. In order to further motivate them, the teacher can create an account in youtube/tik tok/ Instagram/Vimeo etc.  in order for all the videos to be uploaded there. This can work either as a classroom project (needs two 45 minutes sessions) or as a homework.

Divide groups

  • Ask each group to come up with an idea/story of something that they want to change in order to improve their school environment (it can be anything from really small – like changing marker colors- to a big one – a school garden – ).
  • They don’t present the idea just find it.
  • Present a movie making tool (probably something that they have used before for making a youtube or tik tok video).
  • Ask them to make a video presenting their idea (any way they want it ) and present it to classroom when done

– Optional – Upload it to social media and make a small contest

Reflection tips

Proceed with discussing the following with the students:

  • What did you learn during this procedure?
  • What did you know before that helped to develop your project (What resources did you activate)?
  • Did you use any other tools that you acquired during the EnSoEd training?
  • Did you feel creative during the procedure?
  • Does the final product represent what you had in mind at the beginning? Why?
