What can students learn from this?

Students will learn to be creative, communicating effectively, regulating emotional responses, respecting other input.

How can I do this in class?

Start this game by getting four or five volunteers to tell the story line. Then up in front of the audience take the suggestion from the audience suggesting a story title now. The teacher serves as a conductor of this game so he/she sits down facing storytellers. The teacher points to a student who will begin the story. Then, the teacher points to a second student who will continue the story even if it’s mid-sentence. The teacher keeps the story moving forward by pointing to someone different, encouraging quick thinking and only short pauses, saying that there is no wrong way to tell the story.
