How can I do this in class?
Improvisation game
The teacher asks the students to spread out around the classroom and show them what the magic rock position is . He/she sits on the floor curled up like a ball.
Step 1: when everyone is ready, the teacher announces an imaginary space where the rock is in or call out a character like an animal, profession, famous people;
Step 2: the students will then act out the suggestion like a baby, a dog, a ballerina….
Step 3: the teacher continues to call out different characters interspersed with magic rock as a way to get them reset take.
Reflection tips
Self-awareness can make students more productive in the classroom and at home: better communication with teachers and peers, more confidence, and more satisfaction with performance can all lead to happier students.
